Community
Graniterock believes strong communities and businesses grow together.
Generations of Graniterock people have been committed not only to building the foundation of our communities, but to serving the organizations and people of this special region.
Through our long-standing Graniterock Cares philanthropy program, we proudly support community organizations such as United for San Benito, Aromas Grange, YMCA of San Benito County, Aromas San Juan Community Schools Foundation, San Benito Parks Foundation, Aromas 4-H, Hollister FFA, Second Harvest Food Bank, San Benito Arts Council, YMCA of Watsonville and Aromas Community Park.
The company’s long-standing commitment to youth includes annually hosting the Bruce W. Woolpert Algebra Academy, which since 2010 has served 1,200 middle school students in Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito counties. Through Graniterock Cares, we also help local school projects, provide scholarships, and other educational programs that help young people in our community thrive.
We welcome the community to the Wilson Quarry for our annual Rock & Run to generate funds for Aromas School and San Juan Elementary. Our River Run, hosted at Graniterock’s sand and gravel quarry on Airline Highway, supports the YMCA of San Benito County. And every year, Graniterock people are proud to participate in community traditions such as the Santa Cruz and San Benito county fairs, parades in Hollister, San Juan Bautista, Redwood City, and Touch-a-Truck non-profit fundraisers across the Central Coast.
